Four Steps

Education - Our process begins with an understanding of your facility’s energy management goals and objectives. You help us understand your corporate risk tolerance. What are your energy management goals? How much risk are you willing to take? Is budget certainty important to you? We help you understand the competitive energy market, including all terminology and available options. We provide a standardized representation that differentiates supplier’s product offers, commodity market trends, and non-energy components that impact price to further clarify your choices.

Audit and Analysis - When was the last time you reviewed your facility’s energy usage pattern or energy contract? Are you striking the right balance between cost control and your exposure to ever -hanging commodity prices? Analyzing the energy drivers associated with your operations can identify both opportunities to improve your energy efficiency and lead you to purchase quantities that best fit your anticipated usage. Our proprietary audit model will identify exposure points that put your budget at risk and validates whether you are accurately being billed by the utility and your supplier. Over 70 percent of our audits reveal inaccurate billing and “budget busters” that put our clients at risk beyond corporate tolerance levels.

Design Procurement Strategy - We will jointly develop an energy management strategy based on your risk tolerance, operating practices, load profile, and existing market conditions. Combined with the best practices currently being deployed by others in your industry sector, this will serve as a template for us to create a “go-to-market” strategy. We can help you sort out your priorities, from pricing opportunities, budgeting, navigating future market volatility or, creating and implementing a sustainable “green” strategy.

Budget Forecasting - Once energy procurement is complete, we help you prepare budgets in line with your procurement contracts. Actively managing your actual costs relative to forecasted usage will also provide you with savings.
